Munich – Folders from RB Leipzig expel a group of Japanese from the stadium. The club apologizes and blames the mistake on a great uncertainty.

Panic about the corona virus has reached Leipzig.

During the Bundesliga game between RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen, the security service of the Red Bull Arena expelled a group of Japanese from the stadium. This happened about ten minutes after the start of the game, the Japanese announced via Twitter. They are said to have been told that this was done out of concern for the corona virus. The money for the ticket will be paid back to them at a later date.

RB Leipzig apologizes
RB confirmed the incident on Monday afternoon and followed up with an apology. “Unfortunately, in the course of the great uncertainty that currently exists in our country about this issue, a mistake was made in the interpretation of the case towards our Japanese guests. We would like to and must apologise for this mistake,” the club said.

Before the match against Bayer, the home fans presented a choreography entitled “Love, Peace and Lawnball”. With it they stood against any form of racism and discrimination.
