International player Antonio Rüdiger wants to impose himself on Chelsea again.
“We play in many different competitions and from now on we only have English weeks. Sometimes things change very quickly in football. I will do my best every day to convince the coach,” the 27-year-old told The Athletic.
Löw relies on Rüdiger – Lampard not
Rüdiger has not played a single second this season under team manager Frank Lampard. Federal coach Joachim Löw, on the other hand, had called the defender into the starting eleven in recent days at the international games against Turkey (3:3), Ukraine (2:1) and Switzerland (3:3).
With a view to the European Championships next summer, Rüdiger had recently considered a change to get more playing experience again. He had “a few options,” he now said, the hottest was local rival Tottenham Hotspur according to SID information. FC Barcelona, AC and Inter Milan as well as his former club AS Rome had also expressed loose interest.
