Zinédine Zidane is concerned about the intelligence of his four descendants. A new book about the Real Trainer provides further interesting insights.

Zinédine Zidane is concerned about the health and intelligence of his four sons. This can be seen in the biography about the star trainer, which will be published on 28 April and was written by the French journalist Frédéric Hermel. Excerpts from it have been published by Vanity Fair magazine.

The Real Madrid coach is quoted in them: “They don’t have a life like the others. I’m afraid they will become little idiots. I don’t want wealth and everything I represent, everything that happens around me, to mislead them. I want them to be good people.”

Together with his wife Véronique, Zidane has four sons: Enzo (24), Luca (21), Théo (17) and Elyaz (14).

The statements of the 1998 world champion make it clear that stars, despite all their privileges, are normal people with ordinary worries and fears.

Erm: James and Bale “victims of Zidane’s lack of tolerance”
The book also deals with Zidane’s relationship with his players.

“I’m not going to act any differently because they’ve had three or four bad results or gone through difficult situations,” the 47-year-old explains. “I defend my players to the hilt. I believe in my players and that will be the case until the end. I’m not one of those people who denounce players and say, ‘It’s this or that guy’s fault’. We’re all in the same boat.”

According to Hermel’s account, Zidane places great value on loyalty, which explains his sometimes cold relationship with James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale.

The lack of response to this attitude is the reason for the atmosphere. Hermel writes literally: “The loyal attitude leads to the respect and recognition of the Real Madrid team. Except perhaps for examples like James and Bale. Two opponents of Zidane’s methods, and two victims of his lack of tolerance.”Zinédine Zidane is concerned about the intelligence of his four descendants.
