Robert Lewandowski scores at FC Bayern at will. Now the striker confirms that two real stars wanted to lure him to Madrid.

Robert Lewandowski has been scoring for FC Bayern since 2014 and has been arousing desire ever since.

Last year, however, Lewandowski extended his contract in Munich ahead of schedule, thus confirming his commitment to the German record champions.

CR7 and Ramos tried to poach Lewandowski

In recent years, however, the Pole has repeatedly been associated with Real Madrid. In an interview with Spanish sports, the Bavarian professional now confirmed that Real 2017 had serious interest in him.

According to this, Lewandowski was approached by Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo in the quarter-finals against Real after the Bayern Champions League exit in 2017, who wanted to lure him to Spain.

When asked if it was correct that they said to him: “You have to play with us,” Lewandowski replied: “Yes, you can go to the Spanish league or to any other country, to any other major club. But that is not the most important thing for me. Where I am, I have reached my maximum level. And I want to keep doing it. ”

“Everything is easier when you play in a club like this”
In retrospect, he does not regret that the Pole remained in Munich. “I’m with one of the best clubs in the world. I know that I can be happy here,” explained Lewandowski. “We play at a high level. Everything is easier when you play in a club like this,” he added.

This season, he has already scored 39 compulsory goals. He sees the reason for his goalscoring prowess above all in his ambition: “If I score a goal, I want to score another one. If I get three, I have to score a fourth.”

Sometimes his colleagues joke: ‘Don’t you know we’ll have another game in two or three days?’ But for me, having fun is never enough. I just love scoring goals.”

“The ball was my friend”
Even as a small boy he had a special relationship with the ball. “When I was younger, I talked to the ball, it was my friend,” Lewandowski explained with a smile. Even when he ate, he would put the ball under his foot, under the table.

Currently, the Pole has to take a break due to the coronavirus pandemic, as play has been suspended for the time being. The next goals will have to wait until then.

Henry the Lewandowski role model
At the age of six, the Pole, who has already scored 25 goals in 23 games this season, had Roberto Baggio as his role model. But this changed years later.
