The players of Paris Saint-Germain copy the yoga cheers of Erling Haaland in their victory over Dortmund. PSG star Thilo Kehrer defends the action.
National player Thilo Kehrer commented with a wink on the imitation of Erling Haaland’s yoga goal celebration by several players of Paris St. Germain.
“It’s part of business to return the favour a little”, said the PSG defender after the 2-0 (2-0) win over Borussia Dortmund at Sky.
Dortmund’s storm jewel Haaland celebrated his double in the first leg (2-0) with a yoga pose on the pitch. In the second leg, Paris star Neymar copied the cheers after his 1-0 goal. And not only that: After the game, most of the entire team showed the pose, PSG spread the photo on Twitter.
Kehrer defends cheers
Kehrer did not want to overestimate the reaction of his team colleagues. “One can discuss whether or not this is necessary. But I think that’s part of it somewhere. There are emotions involved, and you don’t have to hide them,” said the 23-year-old.
Nevertheless, the victory against BVB was a special satisfaction for the former Schalke player. “I still carry Schalke in my heart and therefore I was extra motivated. When ex-Schalker got the better of the Dortmunders – there is actually nothing better,” said Kehrer.
