Munich – Marcel Reif talks in his column about the bad smear campaign against Hopp in Gladbach. The expert also has a clear opinion on Haaland and Can.

Hello football friends,

I was shocked by the inflammatory poster at Borussia Mönchengladbach against Hoffenheim’s club patron Dietmar Hopp. On this kind of hate a foundation, a breeding ground, is created: How do you deal with things in this society that don’t suit you? With what intensity of hate are you allowed to live it out anonymously? It’s a problem in this society to have something like that in the spectrum. These people have masks on. If they at least go there without a mask, so that you can catch them and prosecute them legally as it should be… But they are masked, just as you can anonymously push the tolerance limits into nirvana on the net.

t is a legal ban on disguising, the stadium must not be a legal vacuum – yet people in the stadium are disguised and put in the crosshairs.

This is madness, if this intensity of hate does not stop in every argument, then you will have Hanau again and again. Such people devalue every minute of silence and every mourning.

BVB inspires thanks to Haaland and Can
Borussia Dortmund is currently bringing me some wonderful moments: if things go well for them, they play with the most attractive footballers in the world. I don’t know any other team that is such fun. At home, BVB leaves you breathless: Chop, chop, chop, and then the blonde one hits the thing – that’s outstanding!

What had been missing before was someone like Erling Haaland, and exactly this centre forward position that Lucien Favre never really wanted either.
