Referee Manuel Gräfe, to his displeasure, has so far been used less frequently than hoped for. But now he is allowed to play in the top game on the 19th matchday.
Manuel Gräfe had caused a stir a few days ago with his open criticism of the DFB’s refereeing approach in the Bundesliga.
Apparently with success – because now the impartial player from Berlin has been assigned the top match between FC Bayern and Schalke 04 for the 19th matchday.
As the DFB announced on Thursday, Gräfe will be the referee for the match on Saturday evening in Munich, assisted by his assistants Guido Kleve and Markus Sinn.
The fourth official will be Dr. Robert Kampka, while Guido Winkmann will be the video assistant.
