For Timo Werner, things are improving again at Chelsea. The 24-year-old finished his thirsty run against Newcastle and received praise from Jamie Carragher.
The knot at Timo Werner broke!
More than three months after his last league goal, the German national forward scored his second goal in the 39th minute on Monday evening in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United – exactly 100 days and 1000 minutes after his last goal.
“Timo was decisive for us today,” Thomas Tuchel said afterwards. Werner was awarded “Best Player of the Game”.
