Jürgen Klopp commented on rumours about a possible resignation. The Liverpool coach defies sad news from his personal environment.

For Jürgen Klopp it was not an easy week.

Liverpool FC is far from sporty. The last three Premier League games have all been lost, the dream of defending the title seems to have already been dreamed of.

In addition, the 53-year-old also had to endure a private stroke of fate: his mother Elisabeth died at the age of 81. Due to the current corona situation, Klopp was not allowed to attend the funeral.

Klopp: “I don’t need a break”
Reason enough to reconsider his current situation? Apparently not. “Was I released or did I leave?! Neither. I don’t need a break, “Liverpool coach told reporters. With English betting providers Klopp is favourite for a change of coach. However, the English media speculate on resignation rather than dismissal.

The last thing he wanted to do was talk about private things. “But everyone knows. It was a tougher time in private, but it wasn’t three weeks ago, it was a long time ago and we as a family are dealing with it 100 percent,” Klopp explained.

Liverpool coach is “full of energy”
He could separate things, shut off one and the other, Klopp said ahead of the Champions League game against RB Leipzig in Budapest (Champions League: RB Leipzig – FC Liverpool, from 9pm). “I don’t carry things around with me when I’m private, then I’m private. When I’m in football, I’m there.”

Nobody has to worry about the Liverpool coach. “I may not look like this because the weather isn’t cool, and I’m white, and the beard is getting greyer and greyer, and I don’t sleep much, but I’m full of energy,” Klopp clarified.
