Schalke is desperately looking for strikers in spite of three-pack hops. In front of Huntelaar you get cancellations from the fired Vedad Ibisevic and Mario Mandzukic.
FC Schalke 04 is desperately looking for a forward – and is currently working on a spectacular return from Ajax pro Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
“Jochen is on the road day and night and tries to make the impossible possible – because of the financial bottlenecks”, said coach Christian Gross about the almost desperate striker search.
At the same time, the royal blues recently picked up baskets in rows – among other things from a player who was only recently chased off the farm. As we learned, Jochen Schneider also asked Vedad Ibisevic a few weeks ago.

Exactly at the 36-year-old Sturm-Oldie, whose contract was terminated after only two months by 31 December 2020. Ibisevic, who had practically played at zero rate, however, gave Schneider a rejection.
“Both Vedad and we had different expectations of his commitment to Schalke 04,” the sports director was quoted in a press release at the time. “From our point of view, it is now better to end the cooperation and break up in the best way. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit Schalke as well as we both promised.”

After the serious knee injury of loan striker Goncalo Paciencia (Eintracht Frankfurt), who otherwise has to be firmly committed if class is to be maintained, and the departure of Rabbi Matondo (Stoke City), the district club is looking for at least one striker. Matthew Hoppe’s three-pack doesn’t change that either in the redeeming 4-0 victory over Hoffenheim.
