Bavarian bosses have stumbled ball

When boating Boateng, Hummels and Müller, the Bavarian bosses criticised the DFB’s actions. Now they don’t give a good picture even at Boateng.

At the beginning of 2019, the excitement at FC Bayern was great. Federal coach Joachim Löw had come to Säbener Straße and had announced her retirement from the national team to his world champions Jérôme Boateng, Thomas Müller and Mats Hummels.

The Bavarian bosses then left no good hair on Löw, criticizing both the style and timing of the farewell as well as the technical reasons. After all, Löw had been looking for a personal conversation with his players.

The Bavarian bosses did not make that much effort in their own personnel decisions. Boateng had to learn from the picture that the board no

longer sees a future together at FC Bayern. The consultant would have expected more compassion. Bumblebees and boating also sorted out at FC Bayern
Boateng won the Champions League twice with the club and, most recently, when the defense complained of a shortage of staff, showed reliability and drive. Apparently, that alone no longer counted.

In retrospect, the excitement at the time at FC Bayern seems all the more astonishing. Two of the three Löw decisions have long been made in their own ranks. Hummels was the first to flee when he was threatened with the siding. Boateng, already publicly denounced by Uli Hoeneß in May 2019, follows him as second.

All that remains is Thomas Müller. Joachim Löw’s plans for the 2020/2021 European Championships could not have been so wrong: Bavaria is imitating him.
