Even in Spanish football, the professional teams can continue to make five substitutions per match in the coming season.
The national association RFEF announced the one coordinated with the league organization LFP on Tuesday. The increased exchange rate compared to the normally only three player exchanges applies to the three highest leagues in Spain and is intended to prevent players from being overloaded by the tightly crowded schedule due to the pandemic.

In Germany, however, the clubs of the 3rd division had opposed the continuation of the exceptional practice and are returning to their original handling at the beginning of the new season.
