Timo Werner plays for Chelsea for the first time in a friendly. The ex-penny doesn’t take long to set a first fragrance brand. The fans are thrilled. It took Timo Werner

four minutes for the Chelsea fans to lie at his feet.

A long ball by Hakim Ziyech, also a newcomer, on Callum Hudson-Odoi, a cross pass into the middle of the penalty area and the conclusion of the former Leipzig – it was Werner’s first goal as a blues striker.

Not a minute later, several Blues fans on Twitter celebrated their new stars exuberantly. “This is what it will look like day after day. I could cry,” read a short time later.

Or: “Together with Kai Havertz”, whose move to the blues is expected shortly, Werner could “become one of the world’s best storm duos”.

Werner: “I had to be patient”
The English press also voted in favour of the Elogen. “An almost perfect debut,” wrote the Sun. “In addition to his goal, Werner had some first-class scenes in his game. The Blues fans will be thrilled when Christian Pulisic plays behind him.” The former Dortmund is still in Corona quarantine and missed the Werner debut. The German national striker was

not quite as euphoric afterwards – yet Werner was satisfied with his debut: “Good start, first of hopefully many goals,” he wrote on Twitter.
