Tottenham Hotspur announces the engagement of Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg. As reported by SPORT1, the Dane comes to Spurs from FC Southampton.

The change from Pierre-Emile Höjberg to Tottenham Hotspur is perfect.

As the Spurs announced on Tuesday, the Dane will receive a five-year contract with coach Jose Mourinho’s team. According to media reports, the former FC Bayern player will cost the equivalent of 18 million euros (15 million pounds).

In return, Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters will hand over to Southampton. The 23-year-old is only slightly cheaper than Höjbjerg with a release of 14 million euros.

“I know what I want, the club knows it too. I want to play at an even higher level than at present,” Höjbjerg had already stated in an interview in May.

Southampton coach Ralph Hasenhüttl then dismissed the 24-year-old as captain, with both sides seeking to sell. In the end, Everton FC were favourites for Höjbjerg, but the midfielder himself, according to information, sought to switch to the Spurs.
