Thomas Meunier is going to fight his ex-club Paris Saint-Germain. The newcomer finds the party culture at PSG far too extreme and finds hard words.

Thomas Meunier has apparently experienced a lot of negative things at Paris Saint-Germain – which he is now spreading in public.

In an interview with the TV station RTBF, the newcomer from Paris Saint-Germain got upset about the party culture at PSG.

“Nothing but birthday parties, incredible. When I was in Bruges, we celebrated birthdays by playing darts or pool in a bar, but here it’s just outrageous,” the Belgian complained. “But it just reflects the club: rent a palace, rent a building, parties with hundreds of people. At that moment you can see that they are more than footballers. They are stars.”

The big celebrations really got on the 28-year-old’s nerves in the end. “I always had a good time there, but it was a bit extravagant and ‘Did you see me?’ style. But that’s just part of the game,” Meunier said.

Even Thomas Tuchel was already getting on his players’ nerves at parties. When Neymar celebrated his birthday two days before a league match in February, the German coach clashed with the superstar.
