Jürgen Klopp seems to be agreeing to work with adidas – although Liverpool FC has just signed a deal with rival Nike.

Football is a million-dollar business at the highest level.

Today’s stars are princely rewarded for their exploits on the pitch. From their clubs, but also from various advertising partners and sponsors. So it is common for most of the kickers to make a deal with a sports goods manufacturer in whose shoes they then wear.

With the coaches, however, this is anything but usual. But with Jürgen Klopp now apparently also one of completely few football teachers signed such a contract. As the Telegraph reports, the German coach of Liverpool FC has agreed to work with adidas and the ink is said to be dry.

An official announcement is still pending, but should be made shortly. Explosive: Liverpool’s supplier has recently become adidas competitor Nike. The sporting goods giant from the USA will in future pay the Reds around £70 million a year. So it would be quite curious if Klopp of all people, the father of success, were to stand on the sidelines in adidas shoes in future.

So far he has been wearing sneakers from New Balance, the old sponsor of the LFC.
