After the lifting of the ban on international competitions, the city boss is apparently looking for a meeting with the UEFA president.

Manchester City and UEFA apparently met for peace talks after the CAS decision.

According to the English Daily Mail, UEFA President Alexander Ceferin and ManCity club boss Khaldoon Al-Mubarak are said to have met to put aside past conflicts.

UEFA had initially banned City from the Champions League for two years for breaches of financial fair play, before the International Court of Justice for Sport (CAS) lifted the ban on Monday and also reduced the fine from 30 million euros to 10 million.

As the paper now reports, the initiative for the meeting came from Al-Mubarak, just hours after the CAS decision. The meeting is said to have ended with the joint recognition of a “new era of friendship”. Previously, the city officials and UEFA had not really been in favour of each other, as the report says.

Moreover, the supporters of the Citizens had always booed the anthem in the Champions League because they saw their club disadvantaged by UEFA.
