On Thursday, La Liga will resume play and before each match, the victims of the Corona pandemic will be remembered until the end of the season.

In memory of the victims of the Corona pandemic, there will be a minute’s silence before each match when Spanish football resumes play. This was announced by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and La Liga on Sunday.

The top Spanish league had been suspended on 12 March, but will resume play on Thursday with the derby between FC Sevilla and Betis Sevilla.

There will be minutes of silence before each match until the end of the season, this rule also applies to the sub-league Segunda Division and relegation matches. In La Liga, there will be at least one match each day after the Sevilla Derby until the end of the season to compensate for the long break in competition.

Currently FC Barcelona, led by national goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, lead the table by two points over Real Madrid, Toni Kroos’ side.
