Gladbach coach Marco Rose was angry after the defeat. “I get very frustrated after every defeat. Of course, it’s even more annoying now in the final spurt when you have certain goals and with the defeat coming. We played a very strong first half and then in the second half we defended a standard very badly, got a yellow-red card and thus a defeat we couldn’t use.”
On the other hand, the winner-goal scorer, on the other hand, is a real joy to watch. “After the Corona break, we hadn’t won yet, we gave away the home games,” Petersen said at DAZN. “That’s why it was extremely important to score points today. We struggled against the defeat for a long time and in the end the goal fell on our side. We go home as happy winners, but we could have won even higher.”
Gladbach’s Patrick Herrmann, on the other hand, was completely satisfied: “It’s always difficult here, but today we made one of our better games here, especially in the first half. We had two or three really good chances to score and just had to push the ball over the line.”
