Gelsenkirchen – The season is over for Suat Serdar from FC Schalke 04. The midfielder suffered a knee injury in the defeat against Augsburg.

The bad news for Schalke just won’t let up!

According to information, the season has ended early for Suat Serdar. The midfielder suffered a torn ligament in his left knee during the 3-0 defeat against Augsburg. This was the result of several examinations during the course of today’s Monday.

Bitter for S04: Serdar is thus missing the best Schalke goalscorer (seven goals) for the remaining seven matches of the season against Düsseldorf, Bremen, Union Berlin, Leverkusen, Frankfurt, Wolfsburg and Freiburg.

Serdar frequently struck this season
The international (three A internationals) has already had to sit out nine games this season due to various injuries to his foot, adductors and knee. Serdar had just recovered from a broken toe, but now he had another setback.

Schalke did not want to comment further on the matter when asked and referred to a final examination on Tuesday.

For the trend-setting match on Wednesday at Fortuna Düsseldorf (Bundesliga: Fortuna Düsseldorf – FC Schalke 04, Wednesday from 20.30 in LIVETICKER), the Royal Blues, who have been without a win for nine matches, are still missing Jean-Clair Todibo (ankle contusion) and Amine Harit (ligament stretching in the knee) in addition to Serdar. The use of Weston McKennie is questionable.
