The whole world is watching this duel. On Tuesday there will be a Bundesliga showdown between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern. SPORT1 does the master check.

BVB sports director Michael Zorc once again emphasizes the importance of the 102nd giant duel: “If we want to continue playing for the championship, we should win this game.”

With a Bayern win, the championship would almost be decided by a seven-point margin. Dortmund will therefore do their utmost to stay on top.

“We march, Dortmund marches,” says Bayern star Thomas Müller. “We can look forward to Tuesday. We want to bring the championship to Munich, where it belongs.

Favre vs. Flick
Twice this season, Lucien Favre was on the verge of being kicked out, but still pulled his head out of the noose. Since the fierce 4-0 clap in the first leg, Borussia have seen a lot of change.

“We’ve gotten better,” says Favre, who still has a 2021 contract in the pot. “We’re playing with a different system and we signed two players this winter, which gives us more presence.” Hansi Flick says about the successful Dortmund 3-4-3, which Favre switched to in November: “This gives BVB a lot of stability on defense.”

Since the system changeover, BVB have conceded an average of only 0.8 goals (previously 1.7). The Swiss has the team largely behind him again. On the sidelines, he seems more active and emotional since the winter break.
