James Rodriguez is not the first choice at Real Madrid. One journalist is almost certain where the Colombian will be moving to this summer. The transfer would be explosive.
A change within Madrid is not exactly common. Since 2006, there have been no more transfer deals between the city rivals, when the former rogue Jose Manuel Jurado went from the “Royal” to Atletico. Now James Rodriguez is back in this business after 14 years.
Colombian journalist Javier Hernández Bonnet revealed that his compatriot is almost certainly planning precisely this explosive change – and that his current club has little room for manoeuvre. “If Real Madrid still want to make money, they have to agree to the deal,” Hernández told BLU RADIO.
“Same source” as before switching to FC Bayern
“If they don’t do it, they risk James leaving without a replacement,” Hernández continued. The game designer’s contract expires in the summer of 2021. “You should open the door for him. The same source also told us back then that James would go to Bayern Munich. The transfer is 80 percent done.”
The 28-year-old, who had ruled out a transfer before the season started, is interested in a corresponding transfer from “both a personal and a sporting point of view”.
Since his return from FC Bayern last summer, James has only been second choice for head coach Zindedine Zidane. The midfielder has only been in the starting line-up eight times in 13 competitive matches, scoring only one goal.
