Gareth Bale has fallen out of favour with Real Madrid fans. Now the Welshman is settling accounts with the supporters of the Royal Madrid and is finding clear words.

Once the most expensive player in the world, Gareth Bale has fallen out of favour with Real Madrid fans.

Especially in the last few years, the Welshman has been subject to fierce criticism. “It’s one of those things you don’t expect. When I came to Madrid, I didn’t really know anything about it. You don’t expect supporters to do something like that to their own players,” Bale said of the Real fans in The Hat-Trick podcast.

Bale: “Just wrong”
Above all, the fact that they often choose a single player makes Bale angry. “I can understand it when it’s directed at the team, when they don’t play well or are a few goals down at halftime. But booing your own player or blowing the whistle on your own player like they do is just wrong.”

Bale added, “When they start to whistle, confidence drops even more – everything gets harder. You’re gonna play worse, which is gonna make them even angrier.”

The conclusion of the former record transfer is clear: “It doesn’t make sense to me. It still confuses me, I don’t understand it.”

But Bale himself also caused a sensation when he posed next to a banner after the successful European Championship qualification with Wales. It said, “Wales. …golf… …Madrid…

Some Real supporters resented this action, but the quote was a statement by Real sports director Pedrag Mijatovic, who wanted to make it clear that Bale does not always have his head in the king’s pockets.

“I had seen the banner a few weeks earlier. The guys had shown it to me and said, “If we qualify, we’ll try to find it and get it. I said, “Do what you want, but I’m not going to go get it. It was a joke, meant as a joke. People can see it any way they want,” Bale now explained the background to the action.
