Real opens stadium for Corona aid

Madrid – Real Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium will be the assembly point for relief supplies in the Corona crisis. The arena is to enable “optimal and efficient use of resources”.

Spain’s record champion Real Madrid is making its Bernabeu Stadium available for the fight against the corona pandemic.

From now on, aid material will be collected and stored in the interior of the arena, from where it will be distributed by the authorities to, for example, old people’s homes in the surrounding area.

The aim is to ensure an “optimal and efficient use of resources”, Real announced on Thursday. The Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is located north of the city centre and offers a location that is closed off from the surrounding area.
