In Cadiz ‘La Liga match against Valencia, Juan Cala is said to have racially insulted Mouctar Diakhaby. But the accused denies the accusations.

Defender Juan Cala of the Spanish first division club Cadiz has vehemently denied the racism accusations against him. Because the defender allegedly insulted his opponent Mouctar Diakhaby on Sunday, Valencia FC had left the field for 15 minutes. (Service: La Liga table)

He was the victim of a “witch hunt,” Cala said at a press conference on Tuesday. The 31-year-old also did not rule out legal action against Diakhaby. “This is a matter for my lawyers. What I can say is that I will defend my honor, “he said.

Diakhaby renews racism accusations
The League Association is currently investigating the incident. Valencia was the first team in the history of the highest Spanish league to leave the pitch in protest of racist insults. After 15 minutes, the team returned, but without Diakhaby, who was replaced.

Diakhaby had also renewed his accusations in a video on Tuesday. “A player insulted me. This is intolerable. I can’t let that happen, “said the Frenchman. Diakhaby also claimed that a Cadiz player had asked if Valencia would return to the pitch if Cala apologized.
