However, the club bosses are in good discussions with the team council regarding an extension of the austerity measure. The aim is an extension until at least 30 June.
As a result of this measure, the Pott Club, which lacks 4 million euros per home game and expects a reduction of 100 million euros due to the corona pandemic, saves 1.25 million euros per month.
Every year, the Dortmund employees have personnel costs of 205.1 million euros for their 850 employees, who have not yet been sent on short-time work. More than 150 million euros (around 13 million euros per month) go into the professional squad alone.
During the total lockdown and suspension of interim football matches, players had even waived 20 percent of their salary.
