FC Barcelona continues its upward trend and costs 1st place in the direct match Real Sociedad San Sebastian.

FC Barcelona confirmed its slight upward trend in La Liga with the second victory in a row and took surprise team Real Sociedad San Sebastian from the top of the league.

With national goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Barca won 2-1 (2-1) against the Basques and advanced to fifth place with 20 points from twelve games.

San Sebastian (26) had to let the previous chaser Atlético Madrid pass by due to the goal difference and is now second.

However, Erreala is the only team in the league to have played 14 games.

Barca turns game behind
Barca got behind due to a goal by Willian Jose (27th), but Jordi Alba (31st) and Frenkie de Jong (43rd) turned the game before the break.

The last victory of San Sebastian in Barcelona thus remains 3-1 from May 1991, when today’s Barca coach Ronald Koeman was still head of defense with the Catalans trained by Johan Cruyff.
