German referee Felix Brych and real star Marcelo once set Peter Crouch on fire in the Champions

League. Peter Crouch was once not very good at speaking to Marcelo of Real Madrid.

What happened? What happened? In the 2011 Champions League quarter-finals, the cult dog met the royals with Tottenham Hotspur.

In the eighth minute of the first leg in Madrid Crouch collected a yellow card, after 15 minutes the game was already finished. Referee Felix Brych sent the striker off the field with the traffic light card.

“With the first Yellow Card, I was simply impetuous, so I can’t blame the referee. It was a

foul for Sergio Ramos,” Crouch said in Paddy Power’s podcast From the Horses Mouth. Crouch gets upset about Marcelo
But in the second action “I wanted to block a ball from Marcelo and slipped somewhat into him. But I didn’t touch him.”

Marcelo “jumped up and rolled around on the floor. There is a camera setting in which you can see how he looks at the referee, cheers when the red

card comes, and then gets up again,” Crouch echoed. Afterwards he became clear: “I never wanted to hit anyone again in my life.”

Tottenham lost the game shorthanded 0-4 and retired from the top division after 0-1 in the second leg.
