“Madrid is in ruins”

Real Madrid is on the ground after the violent clap in Valencia. The defensive is shaky, the offensive one-dimensional. The coach

seems perplexed. “Madrid is in ruins,” the Spanish sports newspaper Marca headlined martially on Monday after an unusual spectacle.

Real Madrid went down on Sunday night at Valencia FC. The 1:4 at the legendary Estadio Mestalla is the lowest point of the rollercoaster ride of the season. Never before have the royals lost higher against the bats, never before has Real scored four

goals under coach Zinedine Zidane. “There are no explanations or excuses for this,” the French football legend seemed perplexed after the match in Valencia. For him, it’s the toughest defeat he’s ever

suffered with Real – as a player and coach. “It’s a day to forget,” said pitiful real-keeper Thibaut Courtois after the whistle. The Belgian demanded that his team must

return to defensive stability. In fact, the extent of this bankruptcy is great. This is already shown

by the worst figures Real has to offer under coach Zidane so far. The defense is shaking!

The curious thing is that Real has won the two toughest games of the season – in Clásico at FC Barcelona and in the Champions League against Inter Milan – and still looks far from good. In La Liga, the club from the Spanish capital ranks fourth, in the top class – the favourite competition – after four points from three games, the end of the group phase threatens.

The overall victory rate is only 54 percent – lowest below Zizou.
