Bale scores as a joker in Spurs victory

Gareth Bale has finally returned to his lane. The Welsh retired from Real becomes a match winner against

Brighton – shortly after his substitution. I don’t think even Gareth Bale would have dreamed that.

In the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, the Welsh international for Tottenham Hotspur was substituted in the 70th minute, and in the 73rd minute he scored

the 2-1 victory of his old and new team. According to the British media, Bale needed exactly 200 seconds

for his first Spurs goal in a perceived eternity. First Bale goal for Spurs in over seven years!

Seven years and 166 days earlier he had last scored for Tottenham – in May 2013 on his first departure from the Spurs against AFC Sunderland. The club from the northwest of England now plays in the 3rd division. This fact also shows how long Bale’s last goal for

the Spurs had been behind. With the victory over Brighton & Hove, the Spurs climbed second place in the Premier League. Harry Kane had led the team

of coach Jose Mourinho (13th) before Tariq Lamptey was able to equalize for the guests (56th). The rest was

cheering for Gareth Bale. The 31-year-old had recently moved to Real Madrid and moved back to London in the past transfer period.

On his comeback two weeks ago against West Ham United, he was also traded in at the closing stage. So he scored his first goal on his second short mission after returning.
