Jovic is allegedly facing imprisonment

Luka Jovic seems to fear consequences for the violation of the corona rules. The forward of Real Madrid had caused a stir in March. Apparently,

Luka Jovic could be in big trouble.

Spanish media with reference to the Serbian news agency Tanjug report that the striker of Real Madrid could face six months in prison. According to the reports,

Serbian prosecutors are demanding this punishment for Jovic, who broke the corona rules in March and failed to comply with the health protocols after his return from Spain.

According to Serbian law, the court must now confirm the accusation made. Jovic had the option to pay 3.5 million dinars (about 30,000 euros), but apparently refused. The former Frankfurt citizen

had travelled to his home country in Belgrade in mid-March despite quarantine requirements. In addition, Serbian media reported that the ex-Frankfurter had ignored the prevailing curfew in Serbia several times – for example, he was said to have met with friends for parties.

Already in April Marca wrote, citing Serbian media reports, that the 22-year-old had to testify before the prosecution because he allegedly disregarded quarantine measures.
