In 2016, Diogo Jota was still too bad for Atlético Madrid and coach Diego Simeone and stayed there without a game. Now Jota is a star and Liverpool’s new weapon. Diogo Jota couldn’t hide

his smile at his performance at Liverpool. The newcomer of the Reds had a permanent grin on his face in the clubby video and raved in the cabin during the interview: “They have by far the best stadium and Liverpool is one of the biggest teams in England. I couldn’t say no.” The winger of the Wolverhampton Wanderers was worth

a whopping 50 million euros. Jota (23) signed a five-year contract until summer 2025 and will become number 20 in the future. Liverpool has thus bagged the second major transfer to Thiago (came from FC Bayern for 30 million euros) within a week.

“He is a player who gives us a lot of opportunities,” said coach Jürgen Klopp enthusiastically. Jota is known

to football experts, and for many fans the transfer may come as a surprise. So who’s the new knocking star?

Espirito Santo is the big sponsor The Portuguese were
formed mainly by a compatriot: Nuno Espirito Santo (46). The coach of the Wolves is Jota’s big sponsor. Both are under contract with star advisor Jorge Mendes at Gestifute.

The coach also addressed personal words to the striker: “Everyone knows the relationship we have built for four seasons. What he did for us was absolutely fantastic. I think he’s going to the right place and wishing him the best.” That’s why he didn’t put any stones in his favorite player’s way.
