The appearance of FC Chelsea’s evasive jersey causes great irritation for league rival Crystal Palace. The Eagels react via social media.
The trouble with Crystal Palace was pre-programmed when FC Chelsea revealed its new evasive jersey with jersey sponsor Nike on Monday afternoon.
The new light red and ultramarine striped shirt is very similar to the home jersey of the Eagles around the German pro Max Meyer by outfitter Puma.
Although the Chelsea kit “is said to be inspired by the ultramarine Nike Air Max 180 sneakers of the 1990s and the classic jerseys of the past”, and the red tone is different from the one seen every other match day in Selhurst Park, a resemblance is by no means out of the question.

But not enough, especially the hashtag #ItsAChelseaThing (It’s a Chelsea thing) caused trouble.
The Eagles responded promptly: #ItsNotThoughIsIt (Isn’t it, even if it seems so)
