In the Spanish sports newspaper AS, the coach of Real Madrid praised his driver in the highest tones. For him, the German footballer is in a class with the two world stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, who dominated Europe together for years.
“If I stop, I’ll be able to say I trained Cristiano and Gareth. But I will also say in the same sentence that I had Toni on my team.”
The coach sees his midfielder strategist as a “spectacular player”. The German national player is actually known for his inconspicuous and unremarkable playing style.
