The 23-year-old from the Spanish first division Real Sociedad San Sebastian announced this on Sunday via Instagram
. The Spanish football association RFEF announced on the evening that Gerard Moreno will be re-nominated by the Spanish first-team team FC Villarreal.
“I now have to stay at home for a few days and cannot join the national team,” wrote Oyarzabal, who played for Spain in six out of ten European qualifying matches in 2019 (two goals).
Last summer, the native Basque became European champion with the U21.
