The Corona case Alessandro Schöpf shakes FC Schalke 04’s training camp. A test game is cancelled – and there are other question marks.

As if they don’t have enough problems anyway, corona is added! A player from FC Schalke 04 has been infected with Covid-19 according to information.

What’s next for the royal blues at the training camp in Tyrol?

Who’s infected with the coronavirus?
The club only announced that “around the licensed player department” one person was tested positive for Covid-19. According to information, this is Alessandro Schöpf. Spicy: The 26-year-old midfielder comes from the Austrian town of Längenfeld, where he still has family and friends. A hotel in the 5000 soul town even belongs to the family.

The training area on which the royal blues are preparing is that of Schöpf’s home club SV Raika Längenfeld, who even welcomed him with his own poster. On Sunday, Schöpf spoke – with sufficient safety clearance – in a media round. He said, “I’m very pleased that some people I know are coming.”

It is not known whether the Austrian had contact with people outside the Schalke environment. Schöpf had apparently complained about symptoms during the course of Sunday. Schalke says: “The person concerned was already in quarantine when the test result became known. The detection of possible contact persons has started.”
