Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp is unusually open about his future – and does not rule out the possibility of a coach’s retirement.

Is the coach Jürgen Klopp possibly soon history?

The successful coach of Liverpool FC is flirting with the end of his career when his contract expires in summer 2024.

“I will take a year off and ask myself whether I miss football. If I deny that, then that’s it for coach Jürgen Klopp,” said the 53-year-old in an interview with Sportbuzzer.

Klopp, who had been repeatedly referred to in recent years as a potential national coach and successor to Joachim Löw, also admitted that the job of coach sometimes wears him down.

“If one day I’m not a coach anymore, there’s one thing I won’t miss: The brutal tension just before the game. That is not subject to amusement tax,” said the former Borussia Dortmund success coach.

Klopp: “Don’t mess with God and the world anymore”
Klopp explained that his function had definitely changed – especially emotionally with regard to the handling of his famous freak-out.
