Good news from FIFA: The world association will now hold its world football championship “The Best” despite Corona. Robert Lewandowski of FC Bayern can hope.

Now Robert Lewandowski can hope for the title as world footballer after all.

As FIFA has confirmed to the Bild, the election of the world association under the name “The Best” will take place this year after all.

Originally, both the FIFA Award and the Ballon d’Or awarded by France Football had been cancelled due to the Corona pandemic.

Will Lewandowski now become a world footballer?
FC Bayern striker star Lewandowski is considered a hot favourite to win the title this year. The Polish striker won the Bundesliga title with the German record champions and became top scorer with 34 goals.

In the Champions League, the 31-year-old is in the semi-finals with the Munich team and leads the scoring charts (14 goals) as well as the assists (5).

His major rivals and long-term winners Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus Torino) and Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) are already out in the premier league.
