The second division club FC Malaga alone reported five people infected with the virus on Thursday.
The first division clubs SD Eibar and UD Levante also announced one case each. The persons not mentioned by name have already been placed in domestic quarantine.
The high number of corona cases is a consequence of the tests that are being carried out after many players return from vacation at the beginning of the season preparation. On Wednesday, first division club Athletic Bilbao alone reported six positive corona tests.
