Manchester City celebrates a victory over Arsenal for the restart after the Corona break. The game is interrupted longer after an injury. Mesut Özil is not in the squad.

Master Manchester City’s commanding 3-0 win in the Premier League restart has been overshadowed by a nasty injury.

Shortly before the final whistle, the game was interrupted for almost ten minutes after a crash by city professional Eric Garcia. The Spaniard was hit in the head by Keeper Ederson and taken off the field with a stretcher.

The 19-year-old still had to be supplied with oxygen on the lawn. His head was stabilized with a neck brace.

Guardiola worries about Garcia
There is still no information on the diagnosis and condition of the defender. Even coach Pep Guardiola was unable to say anything specific at first.

“We are very concerned. He’s responded, but we have to wait and see. He’s conscious, which is a good sign. We will conduct a further investigation,” the Spaniard explained.

In sporting terms, ManCity took a big step towards the vice championship at the breakdown restart of the English House of Lords.

Guardiola and German international Ilkay Gündogan’s team beat Arsenal FC by a clear margin – but the main topic of discussion, alongside Garcia, was the failure of goal-line technology in the otherwise unspectacular 0-0 draw between Aston Villa and Sheffield United.

The victory of the Citizens means that Liverpool FC around Jürgen Klopp will not yet be able to complete the championship title on Sunday.

Before the restart, the professionals of both teams had symbolically got down on their knees to protest against racism and police violence in the USA.
