Jürgen Klopp is happy that Liverpool FC will start again in the Premier League. The trainer is already looking forward to a moment.
Team manager Jürgen Klopp of English champions FC Liverpool addressed the club’s fans in a video message before the restart of the Premier League on Wednesday.
“The league’s back in action. That’s great. We can play again and chase after our huge goal”, said the ex-BVB coach. Liverpool are just two wins away from their first championship title in 30 years.
Klopp described the corona pandemic and its consequences as an “important lesson”, saying that football was “obviously” not as important as health. The interruption of the season was therefore the right decision for him. “We had to show responsibility and we have shown responsibility,” said the coach of the Champions League winner.
Klopp is looking forward to “You’ll never walk alone”
Klopp is especially looking forward to the return of the fans. “There will be a moment when the whole 400 million people choir will sing ‘You’ll never walk alone. And this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for.”
Liverpool themselves will not be back in action until Sunday with city rivals Everton FC.
On Wednesday evening, Aston Villa and Sheffield United will meet in their first game since the forced interval at 7 p.m., followed by a blast between Manchester City and Arsenal FC.
