At the restart of the La Liga eight teams have to stick advertising for betting providers on their jerseys. This will continue until the alert status in the country is lifted.

Spanish football fans must be prepared for a small visual change in eight teams when the La Liga restarts.

Those clubs that advertise betting providers on their jerseys will have to stick over the corresponding imprint on their playing clothes until the alert status in the country is lifted. According to current planning, this is to take place on 21 June.

The background is a general advertising ban for the betting industry, as Vice President and Minister of Social Affairs Pablo Iglesias announced on Tuesday.

Sevilla is one of the eight clubs
The eight clubs include FC Sevilla, who will play their first ever league match on Thursday with the city duel against Betis Sevilla after a three-month Corona break.

The other clubs affected by the advertising ban are FC Valencia, UD Levante, CD Leganes, Deportivo Alaves, Real Mallorca, FC Granada and CA Osasuna.

Leader of the table FC Barcelona with national goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be back in action on Saturday in Mallorca. Pursuer and record holder Real Madrid with 2014 World Champion Toni Kroos will be challenged against SD Eibar on Sunday.

Barcelona are two points ahead of the capital city’s Royal eleven matches before the end of the season.
