When the ball rolls again in Spain, Real Madrid may be playing against an unusual backdrop. The Real stars could find themselves in a mini stadium.

Training feeling instead of Bernabeu flair: Spanish record champion Real Madrid apparently plans to play his remaining home games in the club’s own training stadium when the championship is resumed.

As several Spanish media reported on Monday, the club of 2014 world champions Toni Kroos has submitted a request to the League Association LFP should the season continue as expected before empty ranks.

According to the request, the Royal Family will hold their ghost games at the 6,000-seat Estadio Alfredo di Stefano in Valdebebas, just outside the Spanish capital. This would also speed up the renovation of the 81,044-seat Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the city centre.

However, Real would still have to obtain the permission of the European Football Union (UEFA) if it wanted to advance in the Champions League. The record winner of the premier league had suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City before the Corona forced interval in the first round of the last sixteen.
