Ajax Amsterdam looks back on Twitter with a wink at the spectacular 4:1 in Madrid in March 2019. Sergio Ramos is not going to let that stand.

Under the hashtag #RetroMatchday, the Dutch published a reminder of the spectacular Champions League round of 16 on 5 March last year at Real Madrid.
Gala at Real makes Europe rave about Ajax
At that time, Ajax won 4-1 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu after a 2-1 home defeat in front of the suspended Real captain Sergio Ramos and moved into the quarter-finals.
Football Europe was in love with the young Amsterdam team. The tweet juxtaposed images of the horrified Ramos in the stands and the cheeringly greeting goalscorer Josip Tadic.
The answer from the world and two-time European champions was not lacking. Ramos posted photos of his four Champions League victories with the hashtag #RetroChampionsDay with greetings to Ajax.
The Amsterdamers took the counter-attack of the Madrid captain sporty and posted “Good Point” and “Respect” under the same hashtag – and in turn added pictures of their four victories in the European premier league.Ajax Amsterdam looks back on Twitter with a wink at the spectacular 4:1 in Madrid in March 2019.
