Thus, all nine matches of the 26th matchday will take place from Friday to Monday in camera.
“Although there are still very few people infected in the Leipzig area, we want to minimise the health risk,” explained RB managing director Oliver Mintzlaff, “on the one hand, and on the other hand, we want to actively counteract a potential distortion of competition due to possible different handling at the various Bundesliga venues.
On Tuesday, the second leg of the round of sixteen in the Champions League of Leipzig against Tottenham Hotspur was still played regularly. More than 42,000 spectators in the Red Bull Arena watched RB’s 3-0 win and their first-ever entry into the quarter-finals of the premier league.
