Team manager Jürgen Klopp of Liverpool FC trusts in the assessment of experts when it comes to decisions about ghost games in professional football because of the coronavirus epidemic.
“We will respect every decision. We all have families and friends and we want them to be well,” Klopp said ahead of Wednesday’s round of 16 return match in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid.

The duel on Anfield Road, in which Liverpool will have to make up for a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, will take place in front of spectators as usual.
Unlike the Bundesliga, for example, the Premier League has not seen any ghost games so far. “We are realising at the moment that there are more important things than football. We need time to find a solution to this. How do we gain this time? By avoiding certain situations,” Klopp said.
But he did not know to what extent ghost games were helpful. “The problem is that when you’re not in the stadium, you might watch the games together in confined spaces,” Klopp said.
