He is an institution at Atlético Madrid and led the club out of obscurity and into the European top flight. Since 2011, Diego Simeone has been in charge of the Spanish 2014 champions.
But he is not free of criticism either, as he felt at first hand when he played against FC Sevilla.
Simeone is booed by his own fans
At 2-2, the Argentinian replaced the Portuguese super talent João Félix and enraged his own fans.

What they didn’t know, however, was that the 20-year-old was taken out of play as a precautionary measure on the advice of the team doctor.
Félix was out for about a month due to a leg injury and missed four games. To justify himself, Simeone turned to the stands and pointed demonstratively to his leg.
Atlético Madrid will need a well-fitted João Félix in Wednesday’s Champions League second leg against Liverpool FC.
