Four days after the 3-0 debacle against FC Bayern in the Champions League, Chelsea FC has to accept the next setback.
Frank Lampard’s team only managed a 2-2 (1-0) win over AFC Bournemouth, but are keeping chasers Manchester United at bay.
Marcos Alonso (33.) put the Londoners in front. The Spaniard had been knocked off the pitch during the week against the Bavarians.

Then the “Cherries” turned the game around within three minutes. Jefferson Lerma (54.) and Joshua King (57.) brought the underdog into the lead. Chelsea pressed for the equaliser and again it was Alonso (85.) who secured the point for the Blues.
This puts Bournemouth in 17th place. Chelsea remains in fourth place and has a four-point lead over Manchester United. So the Red Devils cannot pass Chelsea on Sunday. (Premier League standings)
On 18 March, Chelsea will play the second leg of the Champions League against FC Bayern. Before that, FC Everton and Aston Villa are waiting in the Premier League.
