Eden Hazard injured his fibula and is missing Real Madrid in the upcoming heavy games. The Belgian had just made his comeback.

Real Madrid will have to do without Eden Hazard in the top games against Manchester City (Champions League, Wednesday) and in the Clásico against FC Barcelona (League, Sunday) next week.

The Belgian suffered a hairline fracture to his right fibula in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat in Levante and will be eliminated in both matches. The Chelsea FC star only made his comeback against Levante after two months of absence due to an ankle injury. This season, the 29-year-old has only had 15 compulsory appearances.

“Medical tests on our player Eden Hazard by Real Madrid doctors have diagnosed a distal fibula fracture,” Real said in a statement.

The Real did not give any details about the loss of time, but simply said they were monitoring the situation. The AS newspaper, however, expects a prolonged outage and reports a break of up to two months.
