A thoughtless tweet from Toni Kroos upsets his fans in Mexico. They call the international player “racist” and “ignorant”.
National player Toni Kroos (30) has apparently annoyed his Mexican fans with a thoughtless tweet.
“I don’t think Amazon Prime exists in Mexico,” the 2014 world champion replied on Twitter to a Mexican user’s question when his documentary “Kroos” would be shown in Mexico. As reported by Spanish and Mexican media, Kroos’ statement provoked strong reactions in Mexico.
His followers felt offended and insulted, calling the midfielder “racist” and “ignorant”. In return, they reminded Kroos of the German national team’s painful defeat (1-0) in the group match against the Mexicans at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
